COLLINGWOOD forward Travis Cloke is looking forward to renewing hostilities with Adelaide key defender Nathan Bock when the Pies tackle the Crows at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

The winner of that duel will go a long way to securing victory for his side in the elimination final and Cloke is up for the challenge.

"I'll more than likely get Bock. He's in pretty good form at the moment – he got selected in the 40 for the All-Australian team – so it will be a big achievement for me to be able to knock him over or have an interesting game against him one-on-one," Cloke said from the Lexus Centre on Wednesday.

"We played in round 15 and he probably had me [covered] for the first half and I had him for the second half. I'm just looking forward to the opportunity to play him again."

Cloke admitted there was a fair disparity between the maturity of Adelaide's back six and the Pies' attack with the Crows apparently intent on shutting the game down.

"They've got a pretty experienced back line and we've got a young forward line, but we're pretty enthusiastic and we're looking forward to the challenge," he said.

"Earlier in the week Adelaide came out and said that it was going to be a low-scoring game. They're pretty true to their word; so we'll take that on board.

"Chris Dawes and John Anthony have really come on in leaps and bounds in the second half of this year. We've shown that we can work really well together, so we're looking forward to being a part of a three-tall forward line this week."

It's an attack that has had precious little time to settle this season with the losses to injury of Sean Rusling, Ben Reid and Anthony Rocca forcing plenty of re-shuffling.

Cloke said Rocca, in particular, had been able to put his experience to good use despite not being able to contribute on the park.

"You kind of get used to him playing there and you do miss him when he's not," he said.

"I've had a lot to do with him one-on-one on and off the field over the four years that I've been here, but the last six or seven weeks I've really spent a lot of time with him and gotten to know him a lot more and understanding how he can help me with my game."
