CALTON captain Chris Judd is fit and ready to go.
Judd was knocked out in a sickening collision with Essendon skipper Matthew Lloyd in round 13, and missed last week's win over the Tigers as a result of lingering concussion.
But before training on Thursday, assistant coach Mark Riley said the skipper was tickety-boo, despite his absence against Richmond being put down to a variety of injuries.
"Good, mate, he should be right. We've got another week-and-a-bit to go, and he feels good this morning, so obviously the three or four-day break's done him well," he said.
"There was the (rumours of a broken) cheekbone, fractured skull, broken rib, punctured lung – (I guess it was the) remarkable recuperative powers up in Noosa or wherever he went for the last four days.
"No, he (just) had a bad dose of concussion, and he's pretty good now.
"He's fine, 100 per cent."
Riley said it was unlikely that Judd would be forced to wear headgear, ala Jason Dunstall, and he was expected to complete a full training session on Thursday morning.
"I don't think so, but I haven't spoken to our medical department.
"I think it'd be a tad more fashionable than that if he chose to wear one, anyway."
Riley said match committee was becoming more difficult as more players recovered from injury.
"The list is getting full again – we've been selecting from 24 or 25 players of late.
"Now we're growing that again with (Jordan) Bannister back and (Andrew) Walker back, so that augers well for the last eight weeks of the season.
"But we're only looking forward to Friday night against the Saints anyway – the old 'one week at a time' line."
