Speaking to media on Wednesday at the club’s Linen House Centre facility in Frankston, Watters said both players would bring a “spark” to the playing list.
“They both bring a real level of energy and enthusiasm, and some spark, which you need to get into your side.
“If you look at their age demographic as well, 22 and 23, it’s probably an area that we feel we really need to plug some players into our list, so they really fill a need for us straight away.”
“These guys are a clear indication of where our future lies,” said Watters.
The Saints already boast an impressive forward line with the likes of Nick Riewoldt and Stephen Milne, but Watters feels both Saad and Milera can be key players throughout the front half.
“They’ve both got speed…the ability to play in the front half of the ground, midfield and forward.”
“They both also know how to sniff out a goal, there’s no doubt about that Terry has great aerial strength as well,” added Watters.
St Kilda’s newest recruits will kick-off their pre-season schedule on November 7, with Watters revealing that both players could slot straight into the senior team.
“At this stage of the year you don’t preclude anyone from that opportunity. Every player on the list will have that opportunity, that has to be earned and the guys will know that.
“We want spots to be fought for and earned, but they have as much right to challenge for that as any other player on the list.”
