THE Port Adelaide Football Club was informed this morning that Nathan Krakouer will be joining the Gold Coast Football Club.

The Club was informed via phone calls from Gold Coast Suns CEO Travis Auld and Football Manager Marcus Ashcroft at 9.30am this morning.
The Club was not informed by Krakouer or his manager of Krakouer’s decision, despite repeated inquiries.
Port Adelaide Football Operations Manager Peter Rohde says the handling by Krakouer and his manager of Krakouer’s departure is disappointing.
“The football world accepts that clubs will lose players to the expansion teams, but given the commitment our football club has made to Nathan’s development and welfare over the last four years, we are very disappointed at the way the matter has been handled in recent weeks,” Rohde said.
