Innacuracy again cost Adelaide a chance at victory when a second quarter return of 4.9 meant the Crows took a 19 point lead into half time despite dominating.
Richmond were too good in the second half ad some bad weather set in. Thompson was one of Adelaide best and Ben Rutten was solid on Tigers forward Jack Reiwoldt.
