The big screen on top of the NAB Stand also malfunctioned for several minutes during the ceremony.
While the disruption to the ceremony was beyond its control, the Fremantle Football Club apologises to all members and supporters who were at the ground for the disappointment caused by the stadium's equipment failure.
The stadium's equipment failure did not disrupt the telecast to people watching at home.
