Carlton by virtue of finishing eighth will have pick 18 in this year's NAB AFL Draft, while Hawthorn will have pick 19 for finishing seventh.
The AFL’s newest team will have nine of the first 15 picks at this year’s draft, including the first three. Gold Coast will also get the first pick of every round thereafter.
The Suns have already promised to use one of their first three picks to take highly rated youngster David Swallow, who starred for the team in the VFL this year.
For the first time since 1996 when Port Adelaide was introduced to the competition, the first draft pick will not go to the wooden spooners - in this case West Coast.
The Eagles will have to wait until pick four before they enter the draft but they will also get pick 26 as a priority pick.
Picks 20 and 21 will go to the two sides knocked out of the semi finals.
