Fremantle’s 2009 NAB Cup opener will be the first time since 2004 that the club hasn’t played West Coast in the first round of the pre-season competition.
“The club is very pleased to be playing the first round of the NAB Cup at home, which formed part of our fixture submission to the AFL,” Fremantle chief executive officer Steve Rosich said.
“There is also some chance that, should we win that fixture, we could also play the second round match at home,” he said.
The match will commence at 6.40pm.
