POTENTIAL MILESTONES
Lions Captain Jonathan Brown is set to play his 200th AFL match this Sunday afternoon when the Lions face Adelaide at the Gabba.

Brown was recruited to the Lions from the Geelong Falcons U18 side with the Club's Father/Son selection (Pick No.30 overall) in the 1999 AFL National Draft.

He made his senior debut - coincidentally against the Crows - back in Round 5 of 2000 and has since gone on to achieve a great deal of personal and team success throughout his 11-year career.

Brown was an important member of the Lions' hat-trick of premierships from 2001-2003, won the 2007 AFL Coleman Medal, has twice been named in the AFL All-Australian team (2007, 2009) and is a three-time Club Champion among countless other accolades.

The 28 year-old has booted 472 career goals which places him fifth on the Club's all-time goal-kicking list behind Alastair Lynch (633), Jack Moriarty (626), Bernie Quinlan (576) and Daniel Bradshaw (496).

LAST TIME THEY MET
The Lions lost their fifth consecutive match of the 2010 season after falling to the struggling Crows by 12 points at AAMI Stadium.

The match proved a tight contest all afternoon and only one point separated the teams heading into the final change. But Adelaide piled on the first four goals of the final quarter to secure only their second win of the season.

Lions full-forward Brendan Fevola was the dominant forward on the field with five goals - including a couple of contenders for Goal of the Year - while Jonathan Brown was held goalless.

Ash McGrath provided great dash from defence and was arguably the Lions' best player along with Daniel Rich who battled hard in the midfield with 26 disposals and eight tackles.

Brown's five-goal haul against the Eagles took his career tally to 472 goals. Tredrea - who retired earlier this season - kicked 470 goals for the Power in the number 16 guernsey and 79 goals in the number 1 guernsey.

This week's match will be the first played on a Sunday afternoon at the Gabba since Round 11 of 2008. The Lions have won their past five Sunday afternoon matches played at the Gabba.

The Lions have scored over 100 points only once in their past seven meetings against the Crows.

Lions Captain Jonathan Brown has managed only 13 goals from his 12 matches against Adelaide since making his debut against the Crows in Round 5 of 2000.

The Lions have three players with South Australian origins - Joel Patfull (Norwood), Jack Redden (Glenelg) and Jesse O'Brien (North Adelaide).
