Mackay sprained his right ankle in Sunday’s game against Melbourne and although x-rays cleared him of any break, Club medical staff are waiting to see how the foot settles down in the next few days.
The Crows expect to regain Nathan Bock, who missed Sunday’s game with adductor soreness.
But Trent Hentschel’s bid to return has been stalled by a slight hamstring strain. Hentschel was high in the Eagles’ best in the SANFL on Saturday - playing his first game since early April - but jagged a hamstring in the last minute of the match. He is expected to miss two games.
Brodie Martin survived his comeback game with Sturt’s reserves, 11 months after rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
Some other Crows on the injury list continue to progress. Brett Burton (knee), Chris Knights (foot) and Will Young (knee) are all back running and may be ready to start full training next week.
Andrew McLeod (knee) is also improving and had his first run on Sunday.
James Sellar, who was an emergency for Adelaide on the weekend, strained a knee playing for Glenelg on Saturday and may be sidelined for a couple of games.
