An all important clash against St Kilda looms, and one of the vital questions for Dean Laidley is whether to include experienced stars or stick with youth.

Daniel Pratt, Matt Campbell and Lachie Hansen all made their comebacks at VFL level last week and got through without any troubles, prompting calls for their selection in the North Melbourne team.

Nathan Grima showed no signs of disappointment after he was omitted from the Kangaroos team against the Lions, his return for Werribee netting the defender 20 possessions, six spoils and a rare goal.

Like Grima, Sam Power will be looking to break his way back into the team after missing last week with a hamstring injury. Power has averaged 18 possessions a game in 2009 and took on a new role in Round 7 against Port Adelaide with a successful tagging job on prolific ball winner Peter Burgoyne.

Corey Jones, Josh Smith and Michael Wundke all continue to dominate the North Ballarat forward line. Jones kicked six goals on the weekend for the North affiliate, while Wundke was named in the best after grabbing 17 possessions, 11 marks and two goals.

Matt Riggio looks to be the main hope of a promotion from Werribee after 20 possessions and six tackles in the loss against Coburg.

Liam Anthony could still be a couple of weeks away as he tries to gain match practice after a successful return for the North Ballarat reserves. Anthony racked up 26 possessions and kicked two goals in just over half a game.
