ARE YOU, YOUR family or friends interested in keeping fit, while having loads of fun in a friendly and safe environment?
Well, then ‘The Demons Cup Rec Footy Competition’ is on again, bigger and better than ever, in the City of Casey.
The competition will start with a FREE Rec Footy clinic day on Monday 22 November 2010 from 6:30pm-7:30pm at Casey Fields Oval No.3.
This day will involve going over the rules of the competition, playing a couple of fun games, and giving everyone an idea of what Rec Footy is all about.
What you need to know to get started:
- Teams are to be mixed (male and female) and must consist of 8 players on the field
- There must be at least 1 female in each zone (backs, midfield and forwards), and teams can have unlimited reserves
- Males and females aged 15 years and older can play, so it is a great game for families and friends with many people coming along and joining mixed teams
- The cost to take part in the competition is a one off $20 registration fee for each player, and $8 per player each week to help cover the costs of equipment and umpires etc.
- Actual competition will begin on Monday November 29 and will run for around 8 weeks (depending on the number of teams who register) - sessions will run from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
Remember, the first session is free so come along. You can come by yourself or join an established team, as we are looking to enter as many teams in the competition as possible.
