Despite playing in a losing side, Myke Cook was one of South Adelaide’s better players in their game against North Adelaide on the weekend.

Playing at half forward and on the ball, Cook had 19 possessions, five tackles and kicked two goals in a strong performance. For the Roosters, rookie Matthew Wright was also solid, collecting 22 possessions, six marks and kicking one goal.

In Sturt’s win over West Adelaide, Matthew Jaensch played up forward and in defence and had 20 possessions and three marks in a strong performance.

Brodie Martin returned to the SANFL and also had a strong performance. He collected 21 possessions, seven marks and controlled his opponents well while providing good run from defence. Rookie Aidan Riley had a late call up to the senior side and had six possessions coming off the bench in a quieter game.

Trent Hentschel was among the Eagles’ best players despite going down to Glenelg. He played as a tall defender, had 16 possessions and six marks and controlled his opponents well. Rookie Luke Thompson also played in defence and had 13 possessions and four marks.

Central District defeated Port Adelaide in the other game with no Crows players in action.

In the SANFL reserves Jarrhan Jacky was in the best playing in defence. He collected 23 disposals, seven marks, and read the play well while controlling his opponents all day.

Norwood had the bye in round 20.
