Brownlow medalist Gary Ablett will miss Sunday’s clash with Richmond with hamstring tightness. Ablett was ruled out after Friday’s light training session at Skilled Stadium.
Mitch Duncan returns to the line up after missing last week’s loss to Carlton, and Travis Varcoe will play his first game of the season after breaking his thumb in the final practice match against Fremantle.
Max Rooke was already ruled out with a knee tendonitis.
Allen Christensen, Ryan Gamble and Nathan Djerrkura have been named as emergencies.
