A brand new unique opportunity has arisen for a highly-motivated, innovative individual with grounding in multimedia production to join the Western Bulldogs Football Club. In 2013 the Club is looking to expand its digital content offerings to provide members and fans with a best practice sporting experience.
Suitable applicants will be able to manage the multimedia component of the Club’s ambitious digital media strategy working under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Manager.
Suitable applicants will be able to produce innovative and engaging broadcast quality content for the Western Bulldogs Football Club website, with an aim to increasing video streams and web traffic.
Moreover, the successful applicant will produce content that provides “inner sanctum” and “behind the scenes” access to the Club, including interviews and features with players and key club personnel, match day and training highlights packages, and content that showcases the Club’s community programs and major events.
It would be expected that the successful applicant would hold, or is nearing completion of a tertiary qualification in multimedia, communications or similar field and would have:
• Demonstrated video and audio production skills, including advanced camera operation and Final Cut Pro editing capabilities for production of broadcast quality content.
• Experience in webcasts and live streaming.
• Experience in video compression and encoding techniques for producing quality web video content.
• Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop) and/or Apple Motion.
• Knowledge of Soundtrack Pro audio editing for creation of content rich podcasts.
• Knowledge and practical experience of key social media platforms.
The successful applicant will be highly creative, frequently think outside the square, thrive on working under pressure and be at the innovative edge of new media techniques. They will be highly organised and motivated, have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
A keen interest in the professional sporting landscape, particularly Australian Rules Football would be advantageous, but not essential.
