The Carlton senior players have commenced their 2008 pre-season campaign with a number having undergone numerous physical tests and completed time trials around Princes Park over the past week.

Those players who have been in the system for three years or less are required for the official pre-season kick-off on Tuesday October 23, with the remaining players set to return on Monday October 29.

The earlier return is designed to ensure that the players are fully fit and ready for the gruelling season while also affording them extra breaks throughout the training period.

While the players have been away there’s been plenty of activity in the club's Football Department, with the upgrade of the gymnasium and renovations to the change rooms ensuring a better environment on their return.

Carlton Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Noel McCarthy will coordinate the first period of the Blues' pre-season training campaign, before recently appointed High Performance Manager Justin Cordy begins in early November.
