Round 1 of the NAB cup was a night complete excitement for one young supporter Tyson Crowl.

Tyson an 11 year old boy who lost his home and all his belongings in the Black Saturday fires was given the opportunity of a lifetime.

After receiving an email from Tyson’s Uncle describing their encounter with the Black Saturday fires in Kinglake, the Western Bulldogs offered Tyson the chance to run out onto Telstra Dome among some of his most admired champions of the game.

Prior to running out with the team Tyson had the opportunity to witness the pre game atmosphere in the players change rooms. Here he was decked out in a new Western Bulldogs jumper, shorts and even socks and came up looking like a true footballer himself.

Tyson is definitely a keen footballer and won the Best and Fairest trophy in his under 11 team playing for Kinglake.

When it came time a nervous yet excited Tyson kept up with the team as they ran a lap of the ground.

Along with the rest of his family Tyson watched eagerly as his beloved Dogs played out the match. Unfortunately it was not the Bulldogs night and they went down in defeat against Essendon, however this seemed of little concern to Tyson as he will always have the memory of feeling apart of the team himself.

Tyson was extremely proud to run out with Brad Johnson and the team in front of his family who were invited to the match by the Western Bulldogs.
