CAMPBELL Brown’s enormous commitment against the Bombers onSunday has been rewarded with a nomination for the AFL Army Award.

Brown ran hard with the flight of the ball to stop a certaingoal from Essendon’s Matthew Lloyd.

New to the 2007 season, the Army Award aims to recognise andreward ‘one percenters’ such as game-breaking smothers, tackles and shepherds.

At the end of the home and away season, the AFL All-AustralianSelection Committee will shortlist the 22 weekly winning acts to six nominationswhich will then be voted on by the public via afl.com.au. The All-Australian selectioncommittee will then endorse the winner.

In 2007, the AFL Army Award winner will receive a $10,000 ArmyExperience. The award will be officially presented at the 2007 Coca-Cola AllAustralian presentation dinner.
