Launching their 2012 membership campaign today, the Cats have reinvented the successful theme of “Footy Full On”, previously used in 2008 and 2009 to clearly represent the characteristics of the current Cats side.
The artwork in the campaign utilises not only the Cats established stars such as Scarlett, Enright, Bartel, Kelly, Johnson but also younger players such as Selwood, Taylor, Christensen, Duncan and Menzel to show the Cats are not only at the top of their game now but will also be into the future.
The campaign will be based around the on-field traits of being RELENTLESS, COMMITTED, RUTHLESS, BRAVE, PASSIONATE, FOCUSSED, FEARLESS, PROUD and UNITED.
Cats chief-executive Brian Cook said the period of sustained success the club is experiencing should provide the springboard to a strong club off-field.
“We are at a point in the history of the football club now that will be revered.” Cook said.
“In five years we have seen three premierships, two Brownlow medallists, 30 All Australian selections and numerous other plaudits and we see no reason why this success would end.”
“Our list is as strong as ever and we have a bevy of exciting talent pushing through that can complement the array of premiership stars.”
“We want a committed membership base that displays these same values our playing list does. We want our members to be the envy of all the other supporters out there.”
Cook also pointed out that despite the Cats being the only regional side in the competition, there were options to suit every kind of potential member.
“Whilst we would love all our members to be home and away members we understand that sometimes this isn’t an option so we have three game, interstate and even a supporter membership where you can still contribute and be counted without attending games.”
