NORTH Melbourne coach Brad Scott will chair the panel to decide the Norm Smith Medal winner in the 2010 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Scott will be joined by former Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd, representing SEN 1116, former Western Bulldogs great Chris Grant (ABC Grandstand), Michael Gleeson (The Age), and Stephen Rielly (The Australian).

The AFL says the panel offers a current-day coaching perspective as well as the views of retired players and senior members of the media.

The medal cannot be shared between two players, and in the event of a tie the winner is decided by the number of three votes received. If still tied, the winner is the player who has received the most two votes. If that doesn’t break the tie, the chairman has a casting vote.

The medal will still be awarded even if the grand final is a draw with a replay next week.
