THE Power and Adelaide Thunderbirds joined forces on Tuesday June 1st to deliver a fun clinic to Planet Teal members at ETSA Park.

Over 150 kids were present and all had the chance to rub shoulders with their footy or netball hero. The kids went through a range of different skills and drills including passing, receiving, handballing, shooting, bouncing along with fun relay races.

Power captain Dom Cassisi said it was great giving something back to our junior members and future stars.

“Its great to come out here and give something back to our junior Planet Teal members and there was something for both boys and girls to get involved with” said Power captain Dom Cassisi.

Meanwhile Thunderbird defender Geva Mentor was thrilled with the turn out and was impressed by the talent on show.

“The kids got a chance to try different skills from both netball and footy and they all seemed to love it, which is fantastic and a smile to our faces” said Mentor (Thunderbird defender).

The day ended with kids having the chance to meet and greet their heroes. Each participant received both Planet Teal and Thunderbird giveaways, autographs and posed for photos.

The Power has one bigger event for the kids in the upcoming July School holidays, with the Powers Footy & Funk Clinic being held on Monday 12 July, 2-5pm at Alberton Oval, to secure a spot call 1300 GO POWER (1300 467 693).
