The St Kilda Football Club today held its first Open Training Session for the pre-season.
Around 200 Saints supporters showed their dedication by cheering their favourite players through an intense 90 minutes of skills, running, back mobility and recovery.
Fans were able to capture time trials and see who the fastest Sainter was on the day, as well as past Saints player, Aaron Hamill in action for the first time as Specialist Offensive Coach.
Star midfielder Lenny Hayes, reflected on the excitement around the Linen House Centre at the moment in a press conference held today.
“Everyone’s got a fresh outlook and really excited by all the changes (around the Club) and just can’t wait to attack next year”.
Despite some cloudy weather, supporters stayed throughout the session and were rewarded with the players signing autographs and posing for photos at the conclusion of training.
It was a fantastic turnout for St Kilda’s first Open Training Session under new Senior Coach Scott Watters and the Club looks forward to seeing more Saints fans at the Linen House Centre throughout the 2012 season.
