My greatest Eagles moment is being at the 2006 GF. But that is only the end of that story. It began the year before when myself, 2 mates and most importantly my Dad (70 last month) made the very expensive trip to Melbourne for the 2005 GF. We could have all had a very nice holiday in Europe for what the airlines charged. But that was not going to deter us from seeing our beloved Eagles win the premiership. History shows (we were robbed, Sampi should have had the free kick) we lost, and that was the longest flight home (via Brisbane) ever.

So nothing was going to keep us from returning the next year. I have NEVER been so anxious or relieved to hear that final siren in '06. The deafening roar of the crowd, that flooding rush of emotion, was something I cannot put to words, but to have shared that with my Dad is something special I will always cherish. So to all those Eagles players and officials that made ‘06 happen. Thankyou.
