The West Coast Eagles is delighted to announce the signing of National Australia Bank ("NAB") as a premier partner of the club for the next three years. This significant announcement further consolidates the club's long term stability.

Under the partnership, NAB will be recognised as the official bank of the West Coast Eagles, with the club to maintain its business banking accounts, business and corporate lending, leasing and corporate credit cards with NAB.

Season 2008 is the 150th anniversary of the National Australia Bank and happens to coincide with the celebrations of 150 years of Australian football. NAB's partnership with the West Coast Eagles consolidates their significant investment in Australian football.

NAB's commitment to the AFL extends from NAB AFL Auskick, the country's leading junior sports program, to the NAB AFL Rising Star program, which supports and fosters young players with a range of talent identification and development initiatives, right through to the AFL's pre-season competition, the NAB Cup.

West Coast Eagles chairman Mark Barnaba welcomed NAB to the West Coast Eagles' family of loyal and proud sponsors.

"NAB's commitment compliments the club's proud and loyal group of sponsors," Mr Barnaba said. "The stability and loyalty of the club's sponsor group can not be underestimated. The West Coast Eagles has 19 sponsors who have been with the club for 10 years or more, seven of which have been with the club since its inception and another seven who have been associated since 1993 (15 years)."

"The West Coast Eagles is extremely proud to be associated with National Australia Bank, and we are looking forward to partnering with NAB to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. The club encourages all members and supporters to support NAB and all of the West Coast Eagles partners who support the club."

NAB Executive General Manager Strategy & Marketing, Greg Sutherland, said the West Coast Eagles partnership is a welcome extension of their association with Australian football.

"At NAB, we are committed to helping people achieve their dreams and aspirations.  We see our involvement with Australian football as a means to do this, beginning with NAB AFL Auskick, through the NAB AFL Rising Star program, a career debut in the NAB Cup and the elite level of joining an AFL club. Our partnership with the West Coast Eagles allows us to further this commitment," said Mr Sutherland.

State General Manager for NAB in WA, Andrew Whitechurch, said NAB was looking forward to working with the new West Coast Eagles administration.

"NAB is extremely excited about our association with the West Coast Eagles and has great confidence in the new Eagles administration. We believe that Mark Barnaba and his team will provide the strong governance and focus necessary to ensure the West Coast Eagles face the future with the professionalism that this successful club is renowned for.

"At NAB we are committed to backing people through the good times and the tough times. West Coast has made a lot of changes, both on and off the field, over the last twelve months and we look forward to supporting them through their redevelopment, and to being part of this exciting new era for the club."
