ESSENDON'S David Zaharakis knows a thing about clutch goals. He famously sank Collingwood in the dying seconds of the 2009 clash after a surging run and goal.
So he is well qualified to nominate the best 10 match-winning goals of the past 40 years in this week's episode of Personal Best on AFL.com.au.
Malcolm Blight, Nick Davis and Bill Brownless all get a run and despite the fact his Bombers face Hawthorn this week - the two clubs are sworn enemies - Zaharakis found room for three Hawthorn goals in his list.
Better news for Bombers fans is that the equally-despised Carlton was on the receiving end of three of his nominations.
Zaharakis, currently sidelined by a quad injury, clearly did his homework while compiling the list and his knowledge of and passion for the game came to the fore.
