This month we want to zoom in on the benefits of bike riding: not only is it a fun, environmentally friendly way to get to and from school, but it's also great for cranking up everyone's fitness levels as well.

Wednesday 17th March is National Ride to School Day - is your school participating?

Last year over 1000 schools across Australia hosted events to encourage students to walk or ride all or part of the journey to school. To set everyone's wheels in motion for 2010, we have some vital tips on safe cycling as well as investigating the benefits of starting your day with a bike ride. We also spotlight the teamwork required when riding in a group - so that no one gets left behind and everyone has a safe and enjoyable ride to school.
