The south-east Queensland club is set to enter the AFL in 2011, but Williams said he was not aware of any talk of his name being mentioned in relation to the 17th AFL club.
"Don't know them. They don't get over to Adelaide," Williams said of the rumours.
But Williams said he wanted to remain Port Adelaide's senior coach beyond the end of his 2009 contract, although he added "that will be entirely up to Port Adelaide".
"Yeah, I would [like to stay at Port Adelaide long-term]," Williams said.
"The fact is, you go through these cycles, if you like, and two years ago people were a little bit along the same lines, and within a year we were playing and beat Geelong and we were certainly the last team to beat them at home.
"Obviously we got smashed in the Grand Final, but we were very competitive in round one again against them, and we developed a side from about this position, which came second last year and we'll have some confidence that we can do it again.
"The young players that are coming through, there are a stack of players and Chad Cornes is out of our side, who is such an influence to us, and there are a lot of people who are not playing that would be playing next year.
"We have a lot of confidence that we can get it back on track."
