The match day report against St Kilda's Lenny Hayes for striking Geelong's Joel Selwood was assessed. It was the view of the panel that as Hayes was falling to the ground, he instinctively threw his left arm around to grab at Selwood, in an attempt to stay on his feet. The action was deemed to be a grabbing motion and not a striking motion. No further action was taken.
Contact between the Western Bulldogs' Ryan Hargrave and Hawthorn's Michael Osborne from the third quarter of Friday's game was reviewed. The impact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
Contact between Hawthorn's Brent Guerra and the Western Bulldogs' Shaun Higgins from the third quarter of Friday's game was reviewed. There was no high contact made and the bump delivered by Guerra was to the body. The bump was not considered unreasonable in the circumstances as the force was not excessive. No further action was required.
Contact between Adelaide's Ben Rutten and Collingwood's John McCarthy from the second quarter of Saturday's game was reviewed. Rutten gained possession of the ball as McCarthy came in to the contest and attempted to tackle the Adelaide player. Rutten shrugged through the tackle and at all times the Adelaide player was making the play with the ball in his possession. No further action was required.
Contact between St Kilda's Steven Milne and Geelong's Steve Johnson from the third quarter of Sunday's game was reviewed. The impact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
