Just two days after the Blues defeated West Coast to win the 2005 Wizard Home Loans Cup, Carlton coach Denis Pagan has already switched his focus to the season opener against the Kangaroos at Telstra Dome on 26 March.

Although delighted to secure the pre-season title, Pagan said the celebrations had now ended and the attention was on the first round of the home-and-away season.

"We've got to get back on track now. It was a great victory for the club, but we've got to put it behind us now and forget all about it and let's move on for the preparation for the home-and-away (season)," Pagan said on Monday morning at Optus Oval.

"Everyone's equal again now and we want to go forward in the home-and-away season.

"When you really think about the tough times we've been though, we've enjoyed the moment and now it's back to business again and we're going to make sure we go forward."

Pagan was cautious when asked whether Carlton's depth had improved since last season.

"It's very hard to say. We certainly did very well in the pre-season competition. I'd probably like to answer that question six or eight weeks into the season and then just see what happens from there," Pagan said.

"There are a lot of positive signs there and there are a lot of guys that can come in and play a part."
