West Coast Eagles fan Jasmine Cohen’s dream came true when the youngster met Mark LeCras at a training session.
Visiting the club while on holiday from NSW, the Cohen family jumped at the chance for Jasmine to meet her favourite player, according to her mother Sharon.
“Jasmine’s grandma signed her up when she was just three days old, so she’s really had no choice on whether she wanted to be a West Coast supporter,” Sharon laughed.
“When I found out she could attend a training session the family was very excited that she was going to be able to meet her hero.”
Despite not many of her classmates knowing who Mark LeCras is, Jasmine remains his biggest fan.
“Mark LeCras is one of my favourite players in the Eagles because he kicks lots of goals and he was really nice,” Jasmine said.
Although the family were unable to attend the game against the Western Bulldogs, as Jasmine had to be a flower girl, the youngster knew where she would prefer to be.
“I would prefer to come to the game and see LeCras kick lots of goals,” Jasmine joked.
On returning to Sydney, the family will remain dedicated to supporting West Coast as the club looks to continue their winning form.
“This year’s been a definite improvement on last year, it’s great to see all the young boys’ progress,” Sharon said.
“I’d love to see them make the top eight and play in finals and if they do we’ll be glued to our TV over in NSW.”
