It honoured the 10-year anniversary of the team’s Grand Final win and enabled the Lions premiership players and coaches to reunite for the first time in a number of years.
Victorian-based Lions fans who missed the opportunity to attend that wonderful event in Brisbane now have a chance to be part of another 2001 premiership tribute in Melbourne.
The Club’s first Lion Loyalist Luncheon for 2011 held on Friday 29 April will be themed as a ‘Premiership Tribute’ with a selection of 2001 premiership players in attendance - including a special appearance from injured Lions Captain Jonathan Brown.
Luncheon guests will be taken on a trip down memory lane and hear some of the behind-the-scenes stories of that memorable day first-hand from the players themselves.
The event - hosted by ‘Voice of Football’ Craig Willis and held at Etihad Stadium’s Victory Room - includes a two-course sit down meal, premium beverages and a range of entertaining guest speakers.
Tickets are available now for just $140 per head simply by clicking here and completing the daily order booking form.
Alternatively, you can contact Victorian Manager Jeremy Guard on 03 8850 5601 or email jguard@lions.com.au
