The Team GWS plan for sustainable success is underpinned by the development of a strong culture of success and hard work and also by a commitment to the personal and athletic development of its players.
In 2010 Team GWS will begin its development of these talented athletes and the journey to the 2012 AFL season by fielding a team in the TAC Cup (AFL Victoria TAC Cup Under 18 Competition).
Team GWS are now seeking a full-time Player Welfare Development Officer to focus on the establishment and ongoing management of elite Player Development services to Team GWS players. This role will be responsible for coordinating the off field development program of our playing list including relocation, transition programs (in and out of the AFL environment), confidential club guidance & counseling as well as education & training support.
The successful applicant will have significant experience in working with young people, and in particular young elite sporting talent. You will also have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to get on board for the journey as Team GWS builds towards becoming the 18th club in the AFL.
