Hawthorn Football Club would like to wish Melbourne Storm’s Matt Geyer the very best as he draws the curtain on a stellar career.

Geyer, a passionate Hawks supporter, will retire at the end of the Storms 2008 Finals campaign and will play his last home and away game against the Rabbitohs at Melbourne Olympic Park this Sunday.

The plucky winger, now utility, was the first Storm player to play over 200 games for the Melbourne club and has given over 11 years of outstanding service to the reining NRL premiers.

A duel premiership player (1999 and 2007) and the club’s all-time leading try-scorer and points scorer, Geyer is also the Storms last foundation player.

The Hawthorn Football Club, its coaches, players and staff wish Matt all the best and every success to the Storm as they defend their NRL Crown.
