AFL action returns to the Gold Coast with three big games this season.  North Melbourne take on the West Coast Eagles in round eight of the 2008 Toyota AFL Premiership, on Saturday, May 17 at Gold Coast Stadium, Carrara.  Bounce down is at 7.10pm.

The Eagles and the Kangaroos have a rivalry that stretches back to the 90s and between them have won five premierships in the last 16 years.  These two clubs also finished in the top four of last year’s ladder and boast some of the best players in the league.

The Eagles won the Premiership in 2006 and will be led by Darren Glass, the premier full back in the league and along with fellow reigning All Australians Dean Cox and Daniel Kerr will be striving to make their seventh finals series in a row.
North Melbourne shocked everyone last year with a fourth placed finish and unearthed a bevy of young stars such as Hamish McIntosh, Daniel Harris and the Gold Coasts own David Hale.  Along with these youngsters, you can see established stars such as Brent Harvey, Adam Simpson and Shannon Grant.
The Kangaroos will again be a big threat this year making this clash pivotal to both team’s chances of Premiership glory in 2008.

As well as the exciting action on the ground there is also plenty of excitement around the stadium with a range of corporate alternatives, two party decks for the young at heart, the Carlton Mid Boundary Riders Bar and of course our Kid’s Zone.

Tickets start from just $20.80 for Adults and $13.30 for Concession and it’s very easy to book tickets.  Just call Ticketek on 132 849.
