WESTERN Bulldogs forward Josh Hill looks set to find a new home at West Coast.
After a failed trade attempt with Hawthorn at the end of last year, Hill endured a disappointing season in 2011, playing only 12 games and booting five goals.
His manager Peter Lenton said discussions with the Eagles had been positive.
"West Coast haven't given us an absolute definite that they will go hard for Josh," Lenton told afl.com.au's Trade Week Radio on Wednesday morning.
"We have had a meeting with them though, and they seem comfortable with it…and Josh has put his hand up and said, 'if you want me, I'd be happy to go'."
However, Lenton also said the door was not yet closed on the 22-year-old remaining at the Whitten Oval and getting a fresh start under new senior coach Brendan McCartney.
"We're understanding of that too, so it's certainly not over the line, but it's something that we're considering," he said.
Lenton also manages Adelaide ruckman Ivan Maric, who is seeking a trade to Richmond.
He confirmed that the Crows wanted to regain the compensation pick they traded for Richard Tambling last year.
But the Tigers have baulked at that request, instead offering their pick 37 in this year's NAB AFL Draft.
Despite the disagreement, Lenton was confident that the two clubs would come to terms.
"We're hopeful that Adelaide might look at Richmond's offer and think, 'we can use that in another trade,'" he said.
"If that's the case, hopefully Ivan can go through sooner rather than later."
Lenton also confirmed reports from earlier in the week that another of his clients, Ben Hudson, had been sounded out about a back-up ruck role by the Brisbane Lions.
He said Hudson had retired from the Bulldogs on good terms, but having already moved back to his home state of Queensland, would be "wrapped" to get an opportunity to support the Lions' No.1 ruckman Matthew Leuenberger.
"He'd probably seen the writing on the wall at the Bulldogs," Lenton said.
"He was happy enough to go on, but he wanted to make sure he was the right person there.
"Because he's got such a good relationship with the Bulldogs, he was happy to make his own call after a chat with the club."
No trades are official until paperwork has been accepted by the AFL and formally recognised after 2pm on Monday, October 17.
