In a restructure of the club’s recruiting network, Ross’ role in WA will cease to exist. A new role offered to Ross in Melbourne didn’t suit his requirements, as such he will remain in Perth and become the Dockers’ western recruiting manager.
Ross has provided great support to national recruiting manager Derek Hine and the club’s entire recruiting network in the three years he has been with the Magpies, and the club wishes him all the best in his future endeavours.
Ross joins former club psychologist and high performance manager Simon Lloyd at Fremantle, Lloyd having recently resigned to move west and become the Dockers’ senior development coach.
Former assistant coaches Brad Scott and Blake Caracella have also departed the club in recent months. Scott accepted the senior coaching job at North Melbourne while Caracella has joined Geelong in an assistant coaching role.
Club legend Nathan Buckley, who retired from a magnificent playing career at the end of 2007, will be joining the club as an assistant coach for the commencement of pre-season training on November 9.
