Last week the club “froze” the number on 56,816 in a bid to sign the member who would break last year’s all-time AFL membership record of 58,249 set by the Magpies.
Ruckman Darren Jolly helped promote the drive with the big man getting on the phones and sending out letters to potential members.
The club will publish its updated Magpie Army count tomorrow morning.
Collingwood has stated its goal for season 2011 is to enlist 70,000 members in the Magpie Army.
