Like its local community, the North Melbourne Football Club is ethnically diverse with players and officials hailing from a range of multicultural backgrounds.

For example; our CEO Eugene Arocca and star defender Michael Firrito have ties to Italy, Aaron Edwards to Samoa, Nathan Grima to Malta, Majak Daw to Sudan while Daniel Wells, Lindsay Thomas, Matt Campbell and Cruize Garlett are all indigenous.

Over 40% of North Melbourne residents are born overseas and 37% speak a language other than English at home.

To celebrate this wonderful and unique diversity, we’re giving one lucky person the chance to enter Aegis Park on Arden Street to design a special t-shirt.

The design will help to highlight the variety of languages spoken in and around the area by featuring the phrase ‘Our Club, Our Community’ in 10 local languages along with ‘North Melbourne’.

A crowd of North Melbourne community members and supporters will wear the t-shirt during the Multicultural Round in round 17, when North takes on the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

So if you consider yourself a bit of a designer, artist, illustrator or all round creative we want to hear from you.

How to enter:
• Briefly tell us (in 200 words or less) a bit about yourself and why you think you should be given the chance to design this special t-shirt

• Supply a PDF folio of sample work (max 3 designs) or a link to an online folio.

• Email both to info@kangaroos.com.au with the subject line ‘NMFC T-Shirt Design’ by 5pm on Friday 8th April

What you win:

• The opportunity to come to Aegis Park on Arden Street to design the t-shirt with help from North Melbourne’s own creative team

• Tour of Aegis Park including North Melbourne inner sanctum and famous Huddle facility

• 2 Tickets to the round 17 clash against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium

• A copy of your designed t-shirt signed by North Melbourne captain Brent Harvey

• And a 2011 North Melbourne membership

Entrants will be judged by a panel with one winner selected.

To enter, you need to be a local resident under the age of 25 or a member of the North Melbourne Football Club.
