Click onto afc.com.au today for up-to-the minute coverage of the 2012 AFL Rookie Draft.

Clubs will link-up electronically using Microsoft Live technology for the rookie draft, which will take place at the completion of the 2012 Pre-season Draft beginning at 10:30am (local time).

Communications Manager David Burtenshaw, Content Producer Katrina Gill and Media Coordinator James O’Connell will provide updates on the Crows’ selections in a live chat beginning at 10:30am, while members and supporters will also be able to follow the rookie draft on Twitter using the hashtag #crowsdraft.

The first interviews with the Club’s new recruits and a wrap-up from National Recruiting Manager Matt Rendell will be available on afc.com.au throughout the day.

The Crows will select up to five players to join midfielder/forward Ian Callinan and former NSW Scholarship holder Sam Martyn on the rookie list.

The Club holds pick Nos.5, 23, 41, 58 and 73, with another pick (No.89) to be used to formalise the signing of former US College basketballer Ben Dowdell under the alternative talent rule.

Adelaide doesn’t hold a pick in the pre-season draft having used all four available picks at last month’s 2011 AFL Draft.
