The Brisbane Lions have made two changes to their senior side ahead of Sunday afternoon’s tough assignment against the Adelaide Crows at AAMI Stadium.

Attacking backman Ash McGrath makes a welcome return to the side after missing last week’s win against North Melbourne with a minor hamstring complaint.

While he’s played the majority of his past few seasons as a defender, McGrath has more recently shifted up forward where he began his AFL career.

The 28 year-old has proven to be a breakthrough goal-kicker for the Lions this season - the most notable occasion being his bag of six goals in the second half of the Lions’ Round 7 clash against the Gold Coast at the Gabba.

McGrath will likely remain in front of the big sticks after being named in the forward pocket along alongside skipper Jonathan Brown and Bryce Retzlaff.

Tom Collier has also been recalled the senior team after starring for the Lions Reserves at full-back last week.

Collier effectively replaces defender Matt Maguire who has been omitted from the team.

Young midfielder Tom Rockliff will be forced to miss the Crows clash with a calf injury sustained just after half-time of last week’s match.

Rockliff has been among the Lions best players in 2011, but is expected to spend only 1-2 weeks on the sidelines.

James Hawksley, Andrew Raines and Ryan Harwood - who were each included in the Lions’ initial 25-man squad - will be the team’s three emergencies.
