Watt said he was delighted to reach the figure, although he was hoped the club would keep it low key.
"I hope there's not too much of a fuss made over it, but I'm very proud to get there – hopefully, as long as everything goes well this week," Watt told kangaroos.com.au after North Melbourne's 51-point win over Carlton at Telstra Dome on Sunday.
"It'll be brilliant to get out there and runaround in your 150th.
"The boys are always good if it's 50 games, 100 games or 300 games – everyone always has a quick word to you and says: 'Well done and have a good game', but I think that goes for everyone, so it'll be another game, although there is a little bit more incentive for me.
"I can't complain really, we're going very well and everyone seems really settled, so we've just got to keep this form and it's going to be a massive test for us next week against Cats, who are in as good as form as last year – if not better."
"So they're by far the best team in the comp and hopefully we can get out there and give it a real good showing."
Watt said he was still relishing the opportunity to play at the highest level.
"The body is good and the passion is still there, so it's just a matter of getting out and doing a job for the team each week and it is a team game and it's great to turn up each day and you work with 40 of your best mates, so it's a fantastic thing to do for a living," Watt said.
"I think you'd find most blokes would do it for absolutely as long as they can and as long as the team still wants them and they're doing a job – you'll still be there."
