The Western Bulldogs, as one of the 18 clubs of the Australian Football League (AFL) and situated in the fastest growing region of Australia, is breaking new ground in delivering sustainable, high level performance. We are currently seeking an Events Coordinator who has the vision and experience to add substantial value to a football club that is experiencing growing momentum both on and off the field. We require a self-motivated, energetic team player with strong organisational skills to join our small Events team. 

 

The Events Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the administration of the events and conference facilities at Whitten Oval and assist the Events Manager in the successful management, development, delivery, planning and implementation of both match day and non-match day events.  In this role you will be expected to work closely with the Event Manager to ensure that all events are delivered on time, on budget and to an excellent standard.

 

Duties associated with this role include:

 

·      Assisting the Events Manager in the coordination of promotions, bookings, ticketing, catering, entertainment, staffing and other functions required in relation to the successful delivery of all match day events;

·      Setting up of function rooms in line with the match day procedures;

·      Assisting in the coordination of themeing including assembly and removal of signage at every match day function;

·      Coordinating of fundraising activities;

·      Coordinating all Club activities at Whitten Oval;

·      Ongoing development and assistance of non-match day events where allocated

·      Managing event related resources;

·      Managing on-site conference facilities;

·      Working closely with Event Manager to establish the range of standards and procedures relating to the operation of the internal facilities;

·      Coordinating a marketing strategy/campaign for the conference facilities; and

·      Arranging catering for in-house events.

 

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Marketing or Events Management and a minimum of at least 12 months working experience in the events management industry. We are seeking a well presented individual with a proven background in successfully servicing large diverse groups. Importantly, you must have attention to detail, flair and an eye for quality and creativity.

 

 

This role is required to have flexible working hours, including some nights and weekend work. In particular you are expected to attend Western Bulldogs home/away games and events.
