St Kilda is pleased to welcome four players to the Club as part of the 2010 NAB AFL Rookie Draft, held on Tuesday 7th December.

The Club’s first round selection, at pick number 24, went to Thomas Curren from the Dandenong Stingrays/ Mount Eliza. The small midfielder made an impact in the centre of the ground for the TAC Cup side during the year with his added ability to kick goals on the run.

In round two, the Saints added more speed to their list by selecting South Fremantle/ Ramblers FC player Warrick Andreoli at pick number 41. Andreoli is a sweeping midfielder who played with WA in the NAB AFL U18 Championships.

At pick number 57 in round three, the Club welcomed back delisted player Robert Eddy.

As their fourth round selection, the Saints named 193cm key position player Jackson Ferguson from the Club’s NSW scholarship program. Known to be surprisingly fast for his size, Jackson primarily plays in defence but can also go forward where he can utilise his strong one-on-one marking ability.

With a full senior list in place, St Kilda did not make any selections as part of the 2010 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.

Stay tuned to saints.com.au later this afternoon to find out what Ross Lyon thinks of each of our new Rookies.
