THE GREAT marks just keep coming in 2011 and the latest in a long line of spectacular grabs came from Collingwood's Alex Fasolo.  Playing in just his eight game, the young Pie flew over the top of a large pack to grab the ball cleanly, before falling back to earth with the ball still clutched tightly to his chest.

The mark came deep into the third quarter as the Magpies started to take control of a tight contest in front of a large crowd at Etihad Stadium. It had been an enthralling opening half, with the reigning premier keeping its nose in front of a persistent St Kilda.

In the third term, the Magpies kicked the opening three goals to give themselves a slight buffer. When ruckman Darren Jolly won a free kick in the centre of the ground, he pushed the Magpies deep. Fasolo, who had shown clean skills all night, jumped high into the air to take the most spectacular mark of the night.
