The Kangaroos currently have 18,892 people ‘Staying Troo’ by committing as members, and it is important that we continue to increase this figure to ensure the long term sustainability of the club.
It seems many are answering the call with membership records tumbling. Last year 5,180 memberships were sold in February but that number has been overshadowed with more than 5,250 people have signed up this month already.
The players are also doing their bit, Jesse Smith, Aaron Edwards and Sam Wright were outside Telstra Dome last Friday meeting fans and encouraging supporters to join up.
Merchandise was also popular on the night; the new X-Blades on-field apparel proving a hit, while supporters made the most of an initiative by the club to grant all match-day members free entry.
North Melbourne will play its first match of the season on Sunday March 29 against Melbourne at the MCG, from 1.10pm.
