The continued growth of the AFL market and the success of the St Kilda Football Club has created the need for a new role in the Commercial Sponsorship & Sales team. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the incumbent will assist with securing new business, superior servicing of corporate sponsors and partners, and continue with quality relationship building
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
• Actively prospecting and pursing new business clients
• Develop and implement new business commercial strategies and opportunities
• Identify and develop additional business with current corporate clients
• Promptly action business leads and enquiries
• Assist with renewal activities of current corporate clients
• Networking and attending specific corporate events
Account Servicing & Relationship Management
• Manage and service your assigned corporate clients
• Assist the Business Development Manager by providing servicing support for all corporate clients
• Promptly respond and action corporate client requests
• Regular and meaningful communication with all corporate clients
• Establishing and developing professional business relationships with all corporate clients
• Ensure all benefits are delivered and where possible exceed corporate client expectations
• Liaise with external parties to ensure corporate client benefits and programs are delivered
• Work collaboratively with internal departments - Events, Communications, Membership, Fan Development, Community, Finance and Football
Administrative
• Assist with producing and implementing all marketing, communication and commercial collateral
• Assist with delivery of all benefits - ticketing, merchandise, branding, player access and events
• Manage internal database and worksheets
• Preparing internal reports
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 2 years experience in a business development and administrative role
• Demonstrated business development skills, experience and results
• Demonstrated experience in account servicing and relationship management
• Administrative skills and experience
• Highly skilled in Microsoft office programs
• Experience in the AFL industry would be greatly valued however is not essential
• Strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
