GOLD Coast defender Campbell Brown will remain in Melbourne for the next few days after suffering a broken pelvis in Saturday's match against Geelong.
Brown was injured during the first quarter of the clash at Skilled Stadium.
He said on Triple M radio on Sunday the break occurred when he got a knock on the hip shortly after tackling Cats midfielder James Kelly.
"I then went to accelerate and almost felt a crack and the leg just gave way," Brown said.
He said no surgery was required, but he had heard conflicting reports on how long he would be sidelined, with suggestions that he would be out for six to eight weeks, or 10 to 12 weeks.
