Communications & Events Coordinator, Greater Western Sydney Football Club (Team GWS)

Team GWS is on a journey to establish itself as a successful community based Club that the people of Greater Western Sydney will embrace and can be proud of.

Critical to this will be the Club’s ability to effectively promote and market itself across a number of unique communities using engaging and diverse communication channels.

The position of Media and Digital Communications Coordinator will help deliver this by coordinating and assisting with strategies across all external communication channels to generate interest and excitement in AFL and Team GWS.

Reporting to the Media and Digital Communications Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Maintaining the GWS website with engaging editorial and news content
• Managing GWS social media platforms
• Assisting with day to day media relations

The ideal candidate will have:
• Genuine passion and interest in digital technology and online social media
• Understanding of media and public relations
• AFL industry experience or strong working knowledge of the AFL or the sporting industry
• Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro editing suite
