The Sydney Swans number one pick in the 2009 draft, Gary Rohan, is to make his senior debut against Geelong this Sunday, May 9, at Skilled Stadium.

Rohan was tonight named in a 25-man Sydney Swans squad, but senior coach Paul Roos confirmed that Rohan would be part of the final 22 to take the field on Sunday against the 2009 premiers.

"Gary's form in the reserves has been very good, and we're excited that he's come along so well since he was drafted,'' Roos said.

Rohan, 18, was the number six pick in the AFL draft.  He played for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup last year, and was named in the All Australian side after the national Under 18 championships.

He will be making his debut close to home, as he hails from Cobden in western Victoria. One of five children, the fleet-footed Rohan is sure to have a big contingent of supporters at the game on Sunday.

Rohan comes into the side, while Dan Hannebery will miss with a shoulder injury, and Mark Seaby has been ruled out for three months with a broken ankle.
