All Victorian-based Brisbane Lions members and supporters are invited to attend a public viewing of this Saturday night’s season opener against Fremantle at the Mail Exchange Hotel - 688 Bourke Street, Melbourne.

The Mail Exchange Hotel is located directly across the road from Southern Cross train station (on the corner of Bourke Street and Spencer Street) and will be showing Fox Sports’ live broadcast of our Round One match in a private Lions area as well as in the TAB kiosk and beer garden.

NB: The match is scheduled to start at 7:10pm (Queensland time) which means it will be shown LIVE into Melbourne from 8pm due to daylight savings.

Lions members will receive discounted drinks from the bar upon presentation of their 2011 membership card, while all fans can purchase a pub-style meal in the bistro dining area before the game. Bookings are essential and can be made by calling the Mail Exchange Hotel directly on 03 9903 6880.

Lions staff including Victorian Manager Jeremy Guard and Events Coordinator Teagan Jones will be in attendance together with the Lion Hunters Coterie group who have already pre-booked for their annual pre-season function.

The Club recommends taking public transport as only limited city street car parking will be available due to the start of the AFL season and the Melbourne Grand Prix.

So kit yourself up in Lions colours and join some of your fellow supporters in cheering the team on against the Dockers!

The Club encourages all fans to pop into the Mail Exchange Hotel before and after our Etihad Stadium matches in 2011 to help create a social meeting place for Lions supporters in Victoria.
